Deposits and no-shows
← All featuresYour deposits. Your Stripe. No cut.
A deposit only protects your time if it actually reaches you. In Patron, every deposit is charged to your own Stripe account, and you keep all of it. There is no platform percentage, no marketplace fee, and no waiting on a payout from us.
Deposits go straight to your account
When a client books, the deposit runs as a charge on your own connected Stripe account. The money is yours the moment it clears. Patron never sits in the middle of the payment and never takes a share of it. You connect Stripe once, and payouts follow Stripe's normal schedule into your bank.
A card on file for the people who vanish
No-shows are the quiet tax on running your books through DMs. Patron keeps a card on file when a client books, so a last-minute ghost costs them and not you. You set the deposit and the policy. The card is there if you ever need to enforce it.
Set the deposit per service
A small flash piece and a full sleeve should not carry the same deposit. Give each service its own default, and Patron fills it in when you accept a request. Change it on any single booking when a client needs something different.
One clear number before the needle
The deposit comes off the total, and the balance shows with tax handled the way your region expects. The client sees what they paid and what is left. Nothing to sort out at the counter.
Straight answers
Common questions.
Whose Stripe account do deposits go to?
Yours. Deposits are charges on your own connected Stripe account, so the money is yours as soon as it clears. Patron is never the merchant of record and never holds your funds.
Does Patron take a percentage of deposits?
No. Patron takes 0% of your deposits and bookings. You pay a flat monthly subscription and keep every dollar a client pays you.
How does no-show protection work?
When a client books, Patron keeps a card on file. If they no-show against your stated policy, the card is there for you to charge. You set the deposit and the rules, and nothing is charged without your say.
Can I charge different deposits for different work?
Yes. Each service can carry its own default deposit and length, and Patron fills it in when you accept a request. You can still adjust the amount on any individual booking.
