Client Terms

Last updated 11 July 2026

These terms cover you when you send a request or book a tattoo through a studio using Patron, the booking software ("Patron", "we", "us").

By sending a request, you agree to them. Your appointment itself is with the studio, under the studio's own terms.

What Patron is (and isn't)

Patron is the booking software a studio uses to take requests and manage appointments. When you send a request or book through a studio's Patron page, you're arranging your tattoo directly with that studio, not with Patron.

Patron doesn't provide tattoo services, isn't the artist, and isn't a party to your appointment. We're the software in the middle that carries your request to the studio.

Sending a request

You must be 18 or older to request or book a tattoo through Patron. When you send a request, you're asking the studio to consider your idea. Nothing is booked, held, or charged until you and the studio agree. The studio decides whether and when to take your work.

Give accurate details and only upload images you have the right to share.

Deposits and payments

If a studio asks for a deposit or charges a fee, you're paying the studio through its own payment processor (Stripe), not Patron. Patron takes 0% of it, doesn't hold your money, and isn't the merchant for your booking.

Deposits are often non-refundable and can be forfeited if you cancel late or don't show up, but the exact rule (including cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling) is set by each studio's own policy. Ask the studio about its terms before you pay. Any dispute about a charge is between you and the studio.

(The in-app deposit flow is being finalized; until it's live, a studio may take payment through its usual method. This section describes how it works once payments go live.)

Your information

To respond to your request, the studio (through Patron) collects what you send: your name, Instagram or WhatsApp handle, your message, and any reference images. If the studio uses a waiver, that can include health details you choose to share. How this is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

The studio decides what it asks for and is responsible for handling your information lawfully. By sending a request, you agree the studio can follow up with you about it (for example, on Instagram or by the contact details you provide).

The tattoo itself is between you and the studio

Patron isn't responsible for the tattoo work, the artist's skill or licensing, scheduling, aftercare, or the outcome. Those are entirely between you and the studio. Choose your artist and studio carefully, and follow the aftercare and health guidance they give you.

Patron doesn't verify artists or studios and doesn't guarantee any appointment, price, or result shown on a booking page.

Health information

Don't treat Patron as a medical record. Patron is not a healthcare provider or a HIPAA-covered service, and it doesn't give medical advice. Anything shown or sent through Patron, including aftercare guidance, is general information, not a substitute for professional medical care. For any health concern, talk to a healthcare professional.

Share any health details (allergies, medications, conditions) with the studio the way it asks, so it can tattoo you safely. When you fill out a studio's waiver, your answers and signature are saved as the studio's record and stored by Patron on its behalf. See our Privacy Policy for how they're handled.

Fair use

Don't misuse the booking pages: no false information, no spam, no submitting requests you don't mean, and nothing unlawful or abusive. Studios can ignore or block requests, and we can restrict access that harms the service or other people.

No promises, and limits on liability

The booking pages are provided as is. As far as the law allows, Patron isn't liable for the studio's services or conduct, or for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid Patron directly, which, for a client, is normally nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these terms as the product changes; the current version always lives here. They're governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, and any disputes will be handled in its courts.
